Your Happy Baby was founded by Sarah Mitchell, a mother of two and former consumer product safety researcher, after she spent her first pregnancy wading through affiliate sites that recommended whatever paid the highest commission.
Who We Are
Sarah spent eight years in consumer product research, evaluating children’s products against CPSC safety standards and AAP developmental guidelines before they reached store shelves. When she became a parent herself, she applied that same framework to building a review site parents could actually trust.
Every guide on this site is built on three pillars:
- Safety first: We cross-reference every product against CPSC recall databases and AAP recommendations before including it.
- Real evaluation: Our assessments draw on hands-on testing, thousands of verified parent reviews, and pediatric research — not manufacturer claims.
- Editorial independence: Brands cannot pay to appear in our roundups. Our affiliate relationships (Amazon Associates) are disclosed on every page and never influence our rankings.
Our Methodology
We score every product across five criteria: safety certification, ingredient transparency, real-world usability, durability, and value. Products that fail on safety are excluded regardless of how well they score elsewhere. We cross-reference every recommendation against current CPSC recall databases before publishing and update guides whenever formulations, prices, or safety data changes.

She is a mother of two living in the United States, and launched Your Happy Baby after finding that most baby product review sites prioritized affiliate commissions over honest safety guidance.
